Crowns and Bridges
At the office Just Dental, it is our top most priority to give you dental restorations and treatments that look and feel natural and are undetectable by others. That is why we offer the most natural-looking, highest quality crowns and bridges to repair your teeth.
Crowns are protective covers used on the teeth to repair and restore the structure and look of lost or damaged teeth. They are an extremely reliable and long-lasting way to restore your smile and bite. If cared for properly, they can last for as long as 20 years. Fitting a crown requires two visits to our dental office. In the first visit, we prepare the tooth by removing decay and shaping it. A temporary restoration is fitted on to the tooth during this appointment. An impression of the tooth is taken and sent to a lab to prepare your custom crown. During the next visit, the permanent crown is placed on the tooth.
A bridge is a device used to replace multiple missing teeth. It is attached to artificial teeth called abutments at both ends of the natural teeth on either side. Attaches artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth. Bridges can be removable or permanently attached (fixed).
Removable bridges are attached to the teeth by precision attachments or with metal clasps. Fixed bridges are applied by bonding the artificial teeth directly to the abutment teeth or by placing crowns on the abutment teeth. Fixed bridges offer more stability than their removable counterparts.
The placement of bridges will require anywhere between two to three appointments. First, the teeth on either side of the gap are prepared by removing some of the dentin and enamel. The bridge must be made with exact measurements to ensure that your bite is proper after its placement. It is prepared using impression of your teeth. Fixed bridges are cemented to the natural teeth on either side of the space using crowns to provide support to the appliance.
